Act of the government of India Act 1860, on
the 20th march 1998. For legal fulfillment it
obtained 12 A Certificate of the income tax
Act on the 12th july 1999. In order to support
and enhance the activities with financial backups
we equired a cetificate of FCRA from the Ministry
of Home Affairs on the 11th of Nov. 2002. We
shifted our registered office of PSSS from kurukshetra
to karnal and changed its name from pragati
social service Centre to Pragati Social Service
Society according to the decision taken by Governing
Body of PSSS for the sake of accessibility and
better functioning. With the help of experts
a Strategic Plan was developed for PSSS, which
is given below.
To
build an integral society based on gender &
social equality, social justice and peace leading
to sustainable environment and sustainable development.
Restoring
the lost Human dignity of the Marginalized through
a Process of Empowerment.
To build up human communities based on our vision
in all our units of PSSS. To
empower the poor and marginalized especially rural
women through Self Help Groups and various training
programmes.
To promote Gender Sensitizations in all the Target
groups.
To coordinate various social work activities in
the IMS Delhi Province.
To collate and disseminate information to all
the Beneficiaries.
To develop the Organization as a Learning Organization.
To act as liaison between government and the other
member institutions.
To established net working with the other NGOs,
GOs and like-minded people.
To organized the unorganized sector.
To Raise financial Support.
To advocate renewable energy technologies, to
promote forestry/agro forestry and arrest global
warming, to facilitate disaster preparedness specially
in disaster vulnerable locations.
